Our study sites have been selected for the variety of contexts (urban vs rural, different health workforce situations etc) and associated challenges they present.
“This project us going to be very impactful to our community, especially if we are going to strengthen our healthcare workers to know how to respond to the climate changes that are occurring in the country currently. We’re seeing different disease patterns occurring in the city, which are due to changes in heat, droughts and all.”
“Human resources for health is a significant crisis in our region. There is only 3% of the health workers in a context which is grappling with about 24% of the global burden of disease, and the climate crisis is only amplifying that and widening the inequities that exist.”
